Five times the size of Central Park, Shelby Farms Park has something for everyone: Sprayground, Woodland Discovery Playground, horseback riding or boat rentals. Sprayground is a 4,000 sq. ft play space with plenty of splashing opportunities for the children. Woodland Discovery Playground was named one of the “16 Coolest Playgrounds in the World” by Mental Floss Magazine.
For kids ages 8+, the park offers two hour guided tours — on horseback. “Go Ape” is a great outdoor, zip-line adventure for families. The course is set within a gorgeous pine forest and borders Pine Lake, one of the Shelby Farm Park’s 20+ bodies of water.
